It Begins...

Everyone knew Natasha likes attention. She often called the council to meetings or hosted large parties which included rather than excluded the majority of the kindred population. As far as anyone could tell she wasn't particularly politically savvy but was undeniably beautiful. Rumor has it she only came to power because she was one of the eldest in the city and continues to hold it because of the Nosferatu – is she a stunning puppet or a devil in disguise, no one knows.

What was uncommon was for her to summon you alone to her chambers deep inside the Art Center adored by the twinkling lights, a jewel among the towering skyscrapers.  As you pass through the doors you are greeted by an unusual sight, there is hardly anyone around. Usually the center is a bustling beehive of activity, from the tourists touring the complex, to the hipsters rushing to see obscure plays there is usually a lot of tedious activity. Not tonight, now the halls echo with your footsteps as you proceed down the long halls to the office of the Melbourne Prince. You are greeted by the same pretty ghoul as always. Her eyes are bright blue but you notice the bags beginning to form under them, the creases as she blinks and offers her sweet smile – this life is beginning to take its toll on her.

She directs you to sit, the Prince will be only a moment. The door to Natasha’s office is ajar and you’re fairly certain she is alone inside, but then that’s not surprising at all, you already knew she likes to add a bit of drama to every affair. After several long moments the intercom buzzes on the desk and you are allowed into the large, sweeping office. Natasha sits behind her desk, perfectly composed as always. Her auburn hair is tied back on this occasion in a casual bun and she’s wearing steel framed glasses, she must mean business. She doesn’t look up from her computer screen as you come in the door nor does she speak.

In the corner you spot Allison, the child scourge. She couldn't have been more than six when she was embraced, she limbs are still plump with blossoming youth cut short. She turns her face to you as you enter the room, her cupid bow lips curling up into a smile. It would have been endearing but the look she’s giving you from the halo of golden curls is anything but sweet, you get the feeling she’s sinister to the core. The doll she’s playing with doesn't help much, it’s an exact replica of herself except this doll is missing half its hair and one eye.

“Richard” Natasha speaks finally, pulling her glasses down her nose as she appraises you over them like you’re nothing more than a bug caught under her Prada shoes. She’s dropped the pleasantries for the evening, no small talk but all business, anther warning sign this evening is not going to go as you've planned. “I'm calling in a boon…”
